On Windows, automatic tab discarding only starts if the available memory is low. On Android, automatic tab discarding is quite aggressive and prevents using Chrome for applications with significant user input, imho. If you close the chrome browser and relaunch, then Auto Discardable is re-enabled for the site. The only major caveat is that the setting is not permanent. Next to the tab you want to stop it from auto-reloading, disable the check-mark of 'Auto Discard'. If you want to disable or stop the auto-refresh, then you can just click to Toggle to turn off the Auto Discardable checkbox against the open tab and you’re done.
